Recently, the Ministry of Water Resources issued the Plan for Water Regulation Construction (2020-2025), specifying the overall requirements, stage goals, key tasks, implementation steps and support measures of water regulation construction. Focusing on general affairs and supervision, flood and drought prevention, water resources management, river and lake management, water ecology protection and water engineering management, the Plan sets forth 60 key tasks, including the formulation, revision, abolition and interpretation of water regulations. These tasks will be performed in two phases (2020-2022 and 2023-2025).
